Muizenberg is a beautiful little suburb which is situated along the coast of False Bay. Muizenberg was once a playground for the rich and famous with its fantastic features like huge holiday houses of which many were master built with extraordinary architecture, the majestic mountain range that borders and over looks the historic suburb with its many hiking routes and beautiful scenery, the Vlei that leads into the ocean with its natural wildlife and the long white sand and blue waters beach. A place of entertainment, Muizenberg is known for its white sand and blue water beach, it is also considered to be the birth place of surfing in South Africa and hosts many different surfing competitions, local and international. Muizenberg is also host to the annual International Kite Festival which is held on the Vlei. Enjoy things like the Mini Golf Course, the Super Tubes, great restaurants, markets and bars and of course the lovely Masque Theater for quality theater performances.
Muizenberg has its own range of educational facilities, an exceptional progressive junior school and high school as well as three tertiary institutions, the George Whitefield College, False Bay College and the African Institution for Mathematical Sciences.
